The Central Cal War Angels are a semi-pro football team which competes in the Women's Football Alliance (WFA). The War Angels are the first and only team that represents the Central Valley. The team is comprised of players from Fresno State University and surrounding city colleges including Fresno Pacific, Fresno City, West Hills, COS and Reedley College.

The War Angels provide a unique opportunity for women of all athletic backgrounds to come together and play America's favorite sport. This is NOT powderpuff, this is real hard-hitting smash mouth football played by the best women athletes in the Central Valley.

The War Angels are a fully licensed member of the WFA, the largest-ever women’s football league in the world with 63 teams. WFA team organizations exemplify the most flourishing women's football operations, victorious records, business growth, and marketing exposure. They account for:

12 philanthropic youth programs

5 Governor, Mayor, and City Council declarations

4 feature films

3 history museum exhibits and Hall of Fame inductions

1 Emmy Award nomination.

Over 1,250 community events for charity. Cumulative media exhibition on NBC Sports,    ESPN, NFL Films,    Fox Sports, ABC, CNN, CBS, Comcast Sports, New York Times,Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, and Sports  Illustrated in addition to thousands of publications in every major metropolitan region.

WFA teams had their games aired 47 times between April and September on TV networks (FSN and Comcast), resulting in over 118 hours of content shining  light on television sponsors. In order for the War Angels to be successful they need the support of their community.
